Understanding and Applying RFT: Summer/Fall 2024 Book Club with the Authors

This book club will run from July 17th-November 6th, with meetings on alternate Wednesdays from 11:30 am-12:30 pm US Eastern time.

Have you just purchased Understanding and Applying RFT, and are looking for support and camaraderie as you go through the book? We (Dr. Siri Ming, Dr. Evelyn Gould, and Dr. Julia Fiebig) are excited to join you on your journey with this 16 week book club. You’ll connect with others also reading the book and come together with us for live group discussions every two weeks.  You’ll also have access to an asynchronous discussion space where we’ll keep you and your fellow book clubbers on track with going through two chapters every two weeks.

Live group meetings will allow for the opportunity to discuss your questions and explore your experiences with the material, as well as chat a bit further about relevant concepts as we are applying them in our own work and lives. 8 CEUs will be provided.

Please note: the first meeting is only 30 minutes, simply to launch the reading schedule, get oriented to the platform, and welcome participants to the group. Registration will remain open until the weekend before the first book chapter meeting.

We also have low-cost pay-what-you-can scholarships available. Priority will be given to those who primarily serve underserved, disadvantaged and minority populations, clinicians who are members of minority groups themselves, and to early career practitioners or students in developing countries.
